Service Delivery Models

Our five service delivery models are designed to meet the needs of any organization, however, they are mere foundations upon which our services our built. As we begin our journey together, Groundswell will work with you to tailor the chosen service model to best meet your needs.

Groundswell’s Service Delivery Models can be broken into two main categories:

1. Niche Expertise Models

Leveraging Information Management Niche Expertise for organizations that need more than extra horsepower, they need an expert. Groundswell is not a Staff Augmentation vendor (or what many may refer to as a “Body Shop”). We invest financially into honing our employees' technical and consulting skills, providing a full career path for our people within the Information Management niche.

Our Niche Expertise Resourcing models include:

  • Niche Expertise Resourcing - Niche technology expertise when you need IT
Groundswell’s Niche Expertise Resourcing has been established as a means to provide expert resources into strategic clients for short term assignments (six months or less). The intent is to introduce Groundswell’s expertise to clients who are looking for a trusted partner to help them on their Information Management journey. As a result, the value Groundswell brings to our client’s is far more than a skilled resource but also a deep knowledge of the best practices, processes and methods of our entire organization which are required to help our clients maximize the value of Information Management assets.

  • Client Managed Co-source - Helping build your staff’s expertise
Injecting best practices, processes and tools into your Information Management team. Groundswell’s client managed co-source model is designed to provide mid-term (six months to a year) resources to clients who have a desire to build their expertise in-house but are looking for resources who can augment niche skill requirements in the short term and through recommendations and cross-training help to instill best practices and processes such that the client’s staff become self-sufficient in the technology.

2. Managed Service Models

Let us focus on what we do best so you can focus on what you do best.

Our Managed Service Models include:

  • Groundswell Managed Co-sourceIntroducing best of breed
Injecting best practices, processes and tools into your Information Management team. This model is designed for clients who do not have a desire to train and retain staff within niche technologies, therefore, are looking for a partner who can bring a mature team to the table, including a line manager who is responsible for the oversight and management of the team. In this model, the client assigns a manager who is responsible for the service overall and who takes a very active role in the day-to-day operation of the service. These engagements are usually long-term (1 to 3 years with potential renewable options).
  • Managed ServiceWe focus on operations so you can focus on strategy
Groundswell handles the operational aspects of your Information Management services while you focus on the strategy of how to best leverage it. The Managed Service model was designed for clients who have implemented Information Management technologies but do not see it as their core capability. These clients are looking for a trusted vendor/partner who can bring a mature team and manage not only that team but the day-to-day operations of the service. The management structure is typically deeper on the Groundswell side but allows the client and their staff to focus on the more strategic and tactical activities around Information Management, entrusting Groundswell to handle the operational activities. In a model such as this, there is a high focus on outcomes rather than specific activities and skill sets.
  • Managed OutcomeBuilding our futures together
For organizations who need a trusted partner not just a vendor. This model is only employed after Groundswell and their client have worked together for a period of time and have mutually reached a level of comfort with each other where both organizations are working in the best interest of not only their own organization but in the other’s as well. The main theory here is the relationship has moved far beyond client/vendor to a true partnership where risks and rewards are defined and shared.
